Product Description
In Ancient Greece, the Moirai, three sister goddesses known collectively as the Fates, governed human destiny. Clotho spun the thread of life into existence, Lachesis measured it, and Atropos cut it with finality. For the Greeks, the thread wasn’t only mortal experience but purpose, divine order itself. While humans had free will, their thread connected them to something greater: what they called anankē, or necessity.
Hecate was associated with thresholds, doorways, and crossroads, places understood in the classical world as points of transition. These were not seen as ordinary locations but as moments where movement between states occurred.
If the Moirai expressed the structure of a life across time, Hecate related to the experience of standing within its changes. Orion, the hunter placed among the stars after death, reminded the Greeks that mortal lives become eternal when their stories endure. Together, these figures reflect two aspects of human life as the Greeks understood it: the larger order that shapes existence, and the lived moments in which a person encounters uncertainty, decision, and change.
This piece translates that philosophy into a wearable form.
