It had to be renewed through ritual, carried from a neighboring hearth or from the sacred fire kept burning in the prytaneion, the civil hearth at the center of every Greek city. The fire connected the private home to the public world, the mortal to the divine, the present moment to something that had been long burning.

The scent is built from the ancient Mediterranean world Hestia inhabited.
