Every Greek household maintained a sacred fire dedicated to Hestia, the goddess of the hearth, and the first obligation of the day was to tend it. The flame was never allowed to go out. If it did, it could not simply be relit. It had to be renewed through ritual, carried from a neighboring hearth or from the sacred fire kept burning in the prytaneion, the civil hearth at the center of every Greek city. The fire connected the private home to the public world, the mortal to the divine, the present moment to something that had been long burning.

Noir Resin opens with depth of labdanum, a resin harvested from the cistus plant in Provence since antiquity. Sandalwood settles underneath it, creamy and grounding. Vanilla moves through, adding warmth without sweetness.

The beeswax comes from hives that sit at the center of sixteen square miles of organic, pesticide-free land, managed according to organic beekeeping standards that support healthy bee colonies.
How to Use
The first burn matters. Allow the wax to melt to the full edge of the vessel before extinguishing (approximately 2 to 3 hours). This sets the memory of the candle and prevents tunneling on every burn after.
Trim the wick to 3/16 of an inch before each use. Burn on a heat-resistant surface. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Keep the lid on when not in use to preserve the scent and protect the wax. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
